ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. - 25 hot air balloons will soar above the Anderson Civic Center this weekend for the "Balloons Over Anderson" festival.

In addition to the balloons there are concerts, food, crafts, rides and inflatables for kids. There are also tethered rides available. If you want to take flight in a hot air balloon, organizers suggest calling ahead to schedule a time as slots go fast.

“Until you get right up next to one and see just how big it really is it’s just an awesome site. And it’s hard to believe how big these things are,” said Steve Lambert, Director Balloons Over Anderson.

A portion of proceeds from Balloons Over Anderson will go to Anderson Interfaith Ministries.
