A video posted to YouTube over the weekend shows a Tybee Police officer nursing a wound, and a broken storefront window.  The video allegedly chronicles an incident reported to have taken place late Saturday night following the popular 'Pirate Fest'.

In the video, witnesses claim that officers "pushed that man through a window" however the official police report tells a different story.

Officer Denis Reyes details in a report several confrontations with suspect Dustin Allen.  According to the report, Allen was talking loudly on his phone and using profanity.  Officer Reyes attempted to place Allen in custody. At that point, the report states:

"Sergeant Randolph and other officers arrived to my location and assisted with placing Mr. Dustin in handcuffs. Mr. Dustin was placed under arrest and advised he was been charge with disorderly conduct and obstruction. I asked Mr. Dustin if he was hurt and if EMS was needed on scene. Mr. Dustin refused to answer my question and told me (edited for language)."

"I then attempted to move Mr. Dustin to a patrol vehicle. Mr. Dustin got up and he began to state" you do not have to be so ruff, let me go b(edited)" and began pulling away and moving towards the left. I attempted to regain control of Mr. Dustin, but found myself falling forward as Mr. Dustin pulled away from me. I then noticed Mr. Dustin fell forward and towards the glass window of a business. Mr. Dustin the struck and broke the establishment window. I grabbed Mr. Dustin's arms and pulled him back. Sergeant Randolph assisted me and helped be secure Mr. Dustin again. A piece of glass from the window landed on my right hand. Sergeant Randolph called for additional units, a transport vehicle and EMS."

Tybee officials confirm that both the suspect and the officer went through the window, but the official written report places the catalyst on the suspect.

Allen remains in custody at the Chatham County Detention Center charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction, battery, criminal damage to property, and public drunkenness.
