A Federal Grand Jury has indicted a man from Anderson for releasing pollutants into the environment.

Scott William Farmer, 37, was charged in the nine count indictment with knowing violation of work practices governing hazardous air pollutants and knowing endangerment by release of hazardous air pollutants.

The case was investigated by agents with the Environmental Protection Agency and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. Farmer faces a 15 year prison sentence if convicted.
