Shredding Truck Runs Into Belton Building

A Shred A Way vehicle struck a building Thursday afternoon in Belton.

Belton Police Department issued a statement stating that the operator was believed to have been in the middle of shredding paper at Belton Family Practice when the truck began to roll towards the building.

The operator attempted to jump into the driver’s seat to stop the truck.

The driver was pinned between the truck and the building when the truck hit the building. The driver was alert and talking when the Belton City Fire Department and Belton EMS were able to pull the driver from the truck.

The operator was transported to AnMed Health for treatment.

No other injuries were reported and the cause of the accident is unclear at this time.
