Man Shot After Playing Basketball In Greenville County; Suspect Sought

A man in his 20's was shot in the foot after playing basketball Monday night in Greenville County. A man in his 20's was shot in the foot after playing basketball Monday night in Greenville County.

Greenville County Sheriff's deputies are attempting to identify a person wanted in a shooting Monday evening in the Judson community.

Lieutenant Tim Ridgeway of the sheriff's office said that deputies responded to Fourth Street after a man called 911 stating he had been shot in the foot. According to Ridgeway, the shooting happened after the unidentified victim, who is in his early-20's, had finished playing basketball with friends at the Sterling Recreation Center Gym.

The victim stated that he had left and was behind the gym when he encountered another person and an argument ensued. The shooter fired once in the ground at the victim who then attempted to run away. However, the shooter fired several more times, striking the victim once in his foot. 

The victim was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect's whereabouts was not known.
