A man from Oconee County pled guilty to possessing child pornography at a hearing held Monday.

U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles stated that Hollis Frenchman Gray Jr., 43, of Seneca, pled guilty and was sentenced to two years, nine months in prison by U.S. District Judge Henry Herlong.

According to Nettles, evidence presented at the hearing showed that law enforcement executed a search warrant on Gray's residence in Oconee County on June 5, 2012, during which computers and other storage media were seized. A subsequent forensics examination of the equipment showed that Gray's computers and storage devices had images of children under the age of 18 engaged in sexual conduct. A total of 191 images of child porn were found on Gray's computers.

The investigation was handled by the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Investigaton. The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
