West Pelzer, SC -

A woman was seriously burned in a fire at a home in West Pelzer just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

Anderson County authorities say that the 67-year-old woman was at her home when a fire, that was exacerbated by a oxygen tank, started. Firefighters from the West Pelzer Fire Department and EMS responded to the home. They managed to take the woman to a nearby landing zone where she was airlifted to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia.

The fire caused minimal damage to the home, officials said.  The name of the victim was not immediately released.
