Asheville Police seized 7 dogs living in poor conditions at a mobile home on Whispering Pines Drive.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. -
Authorities seized several animals from a home in Asheville this week.
Someone alerted police about emaciated dogs running around free at a home on Whispering Pines Drive Wednesday afternoon. Asheville Animal Services were able to round up and impound two dogs. They say both animals were in poor condition.
The officers also posted an urgent notice at the residence, due to the belief that more animals were inside. After failing to reach the homeowners, officers obtained an inspection warrant to enter the mobile home. They found six dogs, including one that had died.
Officials say all of the animals appeared malnourished and were suffering from dermatitis. They're now being cared for at the Buncombe County Animal Shelter.
