Anderson police have arrested a man accused of taking a bronze sculpture from an exhibit at the Anderson Arts Center.

According to warrants, William Quentin Crawford, 71, from Anderson, is charged with grand larceny. Investigators say he carried the statue out of the center October 7. Surveillance video showed him returning it to the scene about two weeks later.

In a police report, witnesses told officers that Crawford told them he was building an assisted living facility in Anderson and would need their services.
