Laurens County Man Arrested After Eight Pounds Of Marijuana Discovered

Eight pounds of marijuana was discovered by authorities in Laurens.

A spokesperson for the Laurens County Sheriff's Office stated that sheriff's deputies, along with officers from the Laurens Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence on Highway 221 South on Tuesday. During the search, deputies located eight pounds of marijuana, some Xanax and $4,800 in cash.

Deputies arrested Spencer Kevin Deyton, 40, of the home, and charged him with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. Deyton was transported to the Johnson Detention Center where he was later released on bond.
