SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -

The Christmas decorations are already up, the sales, about to begin.

Many items will hit their lowest price points this month. And customers like Cindy Thomas are already seeing the savings.

"It's just been a good month, I mean you hear it on TV, you're seeing it, you're looking in the flyers, you're like, this is a lot cheaper than it was before, yes, so this is a good thing," said Thomas.

Thomas is in the market for an HDTV. It just so happens November is the best time to buy 42 to 55 inch flat screens.

Price tracker says it's the off-brands that will sink to rock bottom.

"They are coming down, the Tvs are coming down, so probably if we wait till Black Friday that's when it's really going to hit," said Thomas.

Expect cookware to be at a steal this month, just in time for all the holiday feasts. Good news for Pam Corwin who is in charge of the Thanksgiving meal.

"All my cookware after 30-some years of marriage is getting kind of old."

Speaking of cooking, you'll find a lot of Turkey deals if you shop around. Some stores offering a free one depending on your grocery bill.

And for the guys, discounts on tools are expected to double this month, though that hasn't stopped men like Greg Buck from buying anytime of year.

"Being guys, guys don't care they just look and find the tool for the best price and they tell their wife, I had to have it," said Greg with a smile.

Now when it comes to winter apparel, there's the good and the bad. Traditionally January is the best time to find deals on heavy clothing. But last year some major retailers offered steep discounts in the weeks leading up to Black Friday.

Ladies if you are in the market for wedding dress it's a great time to bargain down that price. that's because foot traffic in bridal shops gets low during the holidays so stores are more eager to make a sale.

Now you may think toys would be a must buy this month, but Dealnews says typically the lowest prices are in December, not Black Friday weekend.

Finally, if you're an Apple fan, be on the lookout for price drops for the iPad 4, especially when the tablet is paired with freebie accessories.

All those discounts, leaves bargain hunters like Thomas, a bit tickled.

"Guess we got lucky, that's what my take is. It was meant to be," said Thomas.
