Public Safety officials say a man armed with a knife came into the Check and Go on East Blackstock around 4:30 p.m.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -
A Spartanburg County man is behind bars Saturday morning after police spent hours searching for him.
Timothy Earl Vaughan, 49, of Boiling Springs was arrested early Saturday morning, hours after an armed robbery at a Check and Go along East Blackstock Rd., Friday evening according to Spartanburg Police Chief, Art Littlejohn.
Littlejohn says a man armed with a knife robbed the Check and Go around 4:30 p.m., Friday.
Vaughan is being charged with armed robbery and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
According to Spartanburg Public Safety a witness reported a van in the area at the time of the robbery disregarding traffic lights. The witness gave police the van's plate number. The registered address then led officers to the van and Vaughan.
