Seven Arrested On Drug Charges in Fountain Inn

Laurens County deputies say they arrested seven people on drug charges after being called to a possible fight in Fountain Inn with a possible hostage.

Deputies say they responded to 174 Pat Garrett Drive Friday and spoke with three people in a vehicle out front and heard other people running out behind the mobile home into the woods.

Deputies say they chased them down and arrested them in the woods.

Deputies also say they found items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine inside the home.

All seven were taken into custody:

Krystal Chadwick, 21 of Waterloo

Jesse Bishop, 54 of Fountain Inn

Billy Cowart, 43 of Fountain Inn

Jennifer Simmons, 29 of Gray Court

Joshua Harkcom, 32 of Gray Court

Travis Mahon, 35 of Gray Court

Henry Medlin, Jr., 39 of Gray Court

All seven were taken to the Johnson Detention Center and charged with manufacturing Methamphetamine and Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine.

Krystal Chadwick also has an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine.

All seven are awaiting a bond hearing.

    Dozens of drivers have filed complaints with the South Carolina Department of Transportation over loose gravel along a stretch of I-85.
