Bolen Arrested In Anderson Co. For Dempsey Murder

POWDERSVILLE, SC -

South Carolina Law Enforcement arrested Michael Bolen, 23, Monday night for murder the murder of Donna Dempsey.

He was found at a home on Tucker Rd. in Powdersville.

Bolen was wanted after he and another man, Michael Paul Buckmon, 36, of Barnwell, were charged with murder, first-degree arson, first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping and conspiracy in November 1 death of 56-year-old Donna Dempsey

According to Barnwell Police officials, firefighters responded to a house fire at 111 Berry Street just after 10:30 a.m. on November 1. Once on scene, firefighters discovered Dempsey's body at the scene. The Barnwell County Coroner ruled her death a homicide after an autopsy the next day.

Bolen was being transported to the Anderson County Detention Center. Buckmon was already in custody.
