SPARTANBURG, S.C. -
Spartanburg Police are searching for a shooting suspect after 31 year-old Stanley Earl Jones was killed in the front yard of a home on Baltimore Street.

Police say they were dispatched to 721 Baltimore Street for a report of shots being fired around 9 a.m.

Spartanburg Public Safety investigators are looking for a white four-door Buick with dark tinted windows.  Authorities say the shooter was riding in the back seat of the car when he fired a single gunshot.

Investigators say there was an altercation between the victim and people inside the car when the shot was fired.

That car then sped away from the scene. If you have any information that may help investigators, call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.

Police say there is a reward of up to $2,000 to anyone who gives information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in the murder of Jones.
