Homes On Hendersonville Water Lose Pressure, Advisory Issued

Posted: Updated:
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. - Customers of Hendersonville Water and Sewer, from East Flat Rock to Saluda, will have low or no water pressure due to a damaged water main. The damaged pipe is near the intersection of Spartanburg Highway and Mt. Airy Street.

The unscheduled water outage will affect homes along the Spartanburg Highway, and Upward Road south to Saluda. The outage does not include the City of Saluda.

Crews are working to repair the water main. There's no estimated time on when repairs will be completed.

The North Carolina Division of Water Resources issued a Boil Water Advisory. That means you should vigorously boil all water for one minute before use. That should kill any disease causing organisms present in the water. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
