SAN FRANCISCO -

The father of a murdered teenager whose body was captured on an aerial image used for Google Maps says Google is working to remove the satellite photo.

Jose Barrera was contacted by Google Maps after the story made national headlines.

Google tells him it will take around eight days to remove the image from the mapping system, according to CBS News.

Barrera’s 14-year-old son, Kevin, was killed in 2009 near several railroad tracks in the San Francisco Bay area. Kevin’s murder remains unsolved.
