Driver Killed On Buck Level Rd Near Greenwood

A driver was killed in a crash early Wednesday morning north of Greenwood.

The S.C. Highway Patrol says the driver of a 2004 Chevrolet was traveling north on Buck Level Road about five miles north of Greenwood at 5:15 a.m.

Troopers say the driver lost control, went off the right side of the road and overturned. The car then struck a tree, guide wire and a fence.

We're told the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the Chevrolet.

The victim was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The name hasn't been released.
