Some Spartanburg County students are helping feed families in need this holiday season.

4th Graders at Lyman Elementary School collected more than 6,000 canned goods. On Thursday, they delivered the generous donation to the Greer Soup Kitchen.

The Soup Kitchen is part of the Daily Bread Ministries, which aims to feed the hungry by providing one meal a day to anyone who drops by. It's a non-profit, charitable organization that was founded in 1990. It now serves about 150 meals each day. To learn more about the organization, click here.
