HAWKINS COUNTY, TN. -

A man calling himself “Don Juan” and impersonating a chicken was found wandering outside a stranger’s home in Hawkins County, Tennessee, Monday afternoon.

According to WJHL-TV in Johnson City, a Hawkins County sheriff’s deputy was called to a home on Fields Gap Road around 5 p.m. Monday and found a man later identified as Daniel Peoples, 48, Church Hill, acting like a chicken and roaming around the property, according to an incident report.

Peoples told the deputy there were imaginary people in the yard and the shrubbery around the house, and that by acting like a chicken he could scare them away.

The deputy said Peoples kept referring to himself as Don Juan and believed he was in Lexington, Ky. He asked the deputy to take him to Hawkins County.
