A man is under arrest in Greenville for a criminal sexual conduct with a minor charge after police say he failed a polygraph test given on a syndicated TV show.

Dennis L. Prude is charged by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office with criminal sexual conduct with a minor second degree.

GCSO investigators say Prude traveled to Greenville this week after appearing on and failing a polygraph test on The Steve Wilkos Show.

Deputies say they began investigating the case in May involving the victim who says she was 13 years old at the time. She says she was assaulted between August 2010 and October 2010.

The victim was living in Greenville at the time, but now lives in Akron, Ohio. A GCSO investigator obtained an interview with the teenager that was conducted by Child Services in Akron.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office was contacted by producers of The Steve Wilkos Show on Wednesday. The producers say Prude - who was said to be living now in Alabama - had contacted the show and wanted to appear as a guest. He also requested the polygraph test.

The show's producers say Prude failed the polygraph exam.

The Steve Wilkos Show provided transportation for Prude to meet with GCSO investigators in the Upstate.

The investigator obtained a warrant from a magistrate and Prude was arrested.

He's being held Friday in the Greenville County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
