The Merle State Hunger Walk raised money to help the hungry in the Upstate Sunday.
The walk raises money for Daily Bread Ministries and the Greer Soup Kitchen. It started at Memorial United Methodist Church and ended at the Soup Kitchen.
"We want to make sure that no one in Greer goes hungry," said Adam Wickliffe of Daily Bread Ministries.
Martha Oneal of the Greer Soup Kitchen says they feed about 150 people every day, 365 days a year.
"It's an amazing thing for the town of Greer to come out, to help the homeless, the hungry, the people that are less fortunate than ourselves and this is the time of the year that it really and truly shows the most," she explained.
