SPARTANBURG, S.C. - It was a self-described homecoming Wednesday morning as Wayne Green returned to Berea as head football coach.

Green, who stepped down at Seneca after four years Tuesday, is the Bulldogs all-time winningest head coach with a 90-65 record when he guided the team from 1986-1999.

He replaces Robbie Cole, who posted consecutive 1-9 seasons in his two years at the helm.

Green posted a 26-20 record in his time at Seneca.  Between his stints at Berea and Seneca, he led BHP from 200-2009 where his 2004 team won the 3A state title.  He was 88-31 at BHP.

Green's career record is 205-116 in 28 seasons.
