SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -

We can expect clear and cold conditions through Christmas Day as high pressure parks over the region.

As this high slides to the east over the next few days, we'll see a slow warming trend that should have our temperatures above-normal by the weekend, Storm Team 7 Meteorologist Dan Bickford says.

"A weak cold front arrives for the start of the week...right now timing has the front passing through Sunday night," Dan explains.  "This will mean cooler air returns for Monday."

At this time it appears the front will pass through dry, but we'll have to keep an eye on this. There is a small chance that low pressure will develop in the Gulf of Mexico; if this happens, we may end up with clouds and rain around that front. The official forecast remains dry for now, however this could be updated in the coming days if a low tries to develop.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
