Frozen Road Closed Due To Water Leak Near UNC-A Campus

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -

A water leak has closed several roads near the University of North Carolina Asheville campus Tuesday morning. Asheville Water says that a fire hydrant was turned on Monday night and caused water to flow all over W. T. Weaver Boulevard. Campus police tell 7 On Your Side W.T. Weaver Boulevard and Merrimon Avenue have been closed to traffic due to the water freezing on the road.

The campus is accessible to cars from Broadway Street and Campus Drive.
