UNION COUNTY, S.C. -

Confederate grave markers, stolen from an Upstate cemetery, have been replaced. Back in December, family members reported two grave markers stolen from Flat Rock Cemetery in Union County.

The group Sons of Confederate Veterans held a ceremony Sunday to replace them. William Berry with the Sons of Confederate Veterans says it's part of their heritage and they wanted to make sure these veterans are remembered.

"We're doing this because we believe their memories should be honored and preserved," Berry explained.

Berry said the original markers were from 1860.
