WHITMIRE, S.C. - Newberry Co. deputies say they arrested 3 people in connection with a meth lab on Jack Wilson Rd. in Whitmire.

The reports says they responded to a domestic dispute between a father and his son on January 11 at 9:30 PM.

When they got there they were told, Robert Ellis "Robbie" Dilleshaw, Jr., was manufacturing methamphetamine and that this was the source of the dispute.

They say Dilleshaw fled the scene, but was located and taken into custody.

Once the officer realized that this was a working Meth lab, a certified Hazardous Material clean-up crew was called to the scene to provide the safe clean-up of the residence.

They say there was no threat or danger to the surrounding community because of the meth lab.

Officers were later able to apprehend Dilleshaw, as well as two other individuals who were involved.

Those arrested were:
  • Robert Ellis “Robbie” Dilleshaw, Jr., 31, 372 Jack Wilson Road, Whitmire, S.C. 29178, Conspiracy to Manufacture Meth, Manufacturing Meth.
  • Matthew Felker, 34, 1608 Emory Street, Whitmire, S.C. 29178, Conspiracy to Manufacture Meth
  • Christine Leah Davis, 36, 2423 Highland Drive, Newberry, S.C. 29108. Conspiracy to Manufacture Meth
They were taken to the Newberry County Detention Center and jailed pending a bond hearing which is scheduled for 4 pm on Monday.

Sheriff Foster stated, “We have a responsibility as law enforcement officers and citizens of this county, to work proactively to keep this community safe and maintain that standard. We work to combat drugs in the community at every level. It takes an entire community to make this happen. We take that responsibility seriously in partnering with the community and it is our aim to seek out those who continue to oppose that standard.”
