GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in finding the person responsible for stealing a car at a busy convenience store.

The theft occurred on January 4 around 8 p.m. at the Spinx gas station at 549 Standing Springs Road.

According to Master Deputy Jonathan Smith of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, a woman parked her 2004 Gray Toyota Sequoia in a parking space in front of the business, got out and left the car running. The victim went inside the store for a short period of time and when she walked out she discovered her SUV was gone.

Security video obtained from the store shows a light colored four-door car pulled up beside the victim's SUV and someone jumped out and got into the victim's vehicle. The suspect backed the SUV out of the parking lot and the car followed.

Anyone who has any information about the robbery are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
