See Who In SC Has Enrolled In Affordable Care Act

Posted: Updated:
The Obama Administration released age and gender breakdowns of the people who enrolled by the end of December.

More than half of the South Carolinians who've signed up under the Affordable Care Act are 45 years old or older.

Of the 24,000 people who have enrolled in SC, less than 30% are under 35 and 57% are women.

The numbers also show four in five enrollees received financial help to pay for their plans. And the majority of South Carolinians who've enrolled didn't go for the cheapest or the most comprehensive plans.

Open enrollment for insurance under the Affordable Care Act runs through March 31st. You can apply online, by phone at 1-800-318-2596 or in person or in person with a local assister. To find local assistance near you, click here.
