Man, Woman Rescued From Yellow Branch Water Falls

Two people were rescued from a popular tourist spot in Oconee County Tuesday evening. Two people were rescued from a popular tourist spot in Oconee County Tuesday evening.
WALHALLA, S.C. - A man and a woman were found after a search in Oconee County early Tuesday evening. 

Oconee County Deputy Fire Chief Grahl Haney stated that rescuers were dispatched to Yellow Branch Water Falls just after 5 p.m. after two people were reported lost in the area. Crews arrived on scene, and with the help of Oconee County 911 dispatchers, managed to locate the man and woman, who are both in their 20's. 

The couple was led out of the woods to a safe area. Haney said that nobody was injured during the search.
