MARION, NC - McDowell County Sheriff's investigators are looking for help in finding a person who attempted to break into an ATM machine last weekend.

The sheriff's office states that the incident happened at the ATM machine at the North Cove Truck Service. A man reported that someone broke into the business between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday and attempted to pry open the ATM machine.

According to the sheriff's office, the suspect did not get any money, but caused $7,000 worth of damage to the machine. Surveillance video caught the suspect and his vehicle during the break-in.

The suspect is described as a white male with dark hair. He has a heavy build and was wearing blue jeans, a blue zip-up hoodie and black shoes. The man left the scene with another person in a blue four-door Honda or Hyundai.
