A Pauline woman is under arrest after deputies say she filled a prescription for her foster child, but didn't give the medicine to the six-year old girl.

The Union County Sheriff's Office charged Brandi Nicole Ham, 30, with obtaining drugs by fraud and unlawful neglect of a child.

Investigators received a complaint in late December that Ham was having the child's prescription for Adderall filled, but the medication wasn't provided to the child.

Adderall is used to treat narcolepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder according to Drugs dot-com.

The incident report states warrants were signed against Ham for obtaining drugs by fraud or deceit plus a charge of unlawful conduct toward a child.

Ham was arrested by the Union County Sheriff's Office on Monday. She remains at the county jail Tuesday morning.
