Anderson Police Warn Drivers of Car Break-Ins

Posted: Updated:
ANDERSON, S.C. - Keep a close eye on your car.

Anderson Police say they responded to 11 car break-ins in the city over the weekend. In most cases, the thieves smashed the car windows to gain access before rummaging through the stuff inside the vehicles. In many cases, nothing was actually taken.

Officers are warning drivers to keep their car doors locked at all times. They also say cleaning out your car can cut down your chances of becoming a victim. Police say even trash can entice a thief, by making them think something more valuable is hidden underneath.
