GREENWOOD, S.C. -

Greenwood Police say a Greenwood man, who is a student at Lander University, is facing a sexual misconduct charge following an incident last weekend.

Police say 21 year old Hunter Coker faces a charge of first degree Criminal Sexual Conduct in the sexual assault of a fellow student.

Officers say the victim was admitted to a nearby hospital where she completed a sexual assault evidence collection kit.

Police say the incident took place between midnight and 1 am on January 17th at a fraternity house party on East Kirksey Avenue.

The victim's roommate told police she dropped of their friends at a home and returned to the party, where she found the victim outside.

Police say Coker had offered to give the victim a ride to find her friends after she was separated from them and that's when they say the assault occurred.

The Greenwood County Detention Center says Coker is currently out of jail by way of a court order.
