ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson Police are looking for a man who exposed himself to a teenage girl in the parking lot of a Walmart.

According to an incident report obtained from the police department, an officer responded to the Walmart at 3812 Liberty Highway on January 19 after the teenage girl's father reported to police that his daughter told him that a man approached her in the parking lot and exposed himself to her. The officer spoke to the girl, who stated that she was putting items in her car when a man, believed to be in his early 20's, blocked her in with his vehicle and asked her for directions. She said that the man then exposed himself to her and drove away.

According to the report, the victim told the officer that she noticed the man inside the store, but she was unsure if he purchased any items. The man is a white male with an average build and blue eyes. He was reportedly wearing dark, baggy jeans with a blue jacket and tan boots.

If anyone has any information about the suspect or the incident they are asked to contact Anderson Area Crime Stoppers at 231-STOP or 1-888-CRIMESC.

Dozens of people gathered Saturday afternoon to rally against the state's "Stand Your Ground," law, saying it amounts to "legal lynching." The group, Moms Demand Action, said the South Carolina law, first passed in 2006, causes gun violence and is exploited as a defense.
