Hendersonville Teen Charged With Felony Child Abuse

A Hendersonville teen is facing a charge of felony child abuse after deputies say he was watching his three month old, when the infant received extensive bruising to the face and head, as well as a fractured skull.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office says 19 year old Robert Jacob Patterson was arrested Friday.

Deputies said in a news release Sunday, that the injuries happened on January 20. The Sheriff's Office said the child's injuries are serious, but not considered life threatening. 

According to authorities, Patterson is in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $40,000 bond.
