Fire Destroys Home In Anderson County

Fire destroyed a vacant home in Anderson County Thursday afternoon. Fire destroyed a vacant home in Anderson County Thursday afternoon.
ANDERSON, S.C. - A vacant home was destroyed after catching fire Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 5 p.m. at the home on Sun Chase Road in Anderson County. Anderson County Interim Fire Chief Jimmy Sutherland said that firefighters from Broadway Lake and Homeland Park Fire Department's responded to the fire and when they arrived they found the home in flames.  

Firefighters managed to get fire under control. Sutherland said that the cause of the fire is under investigation and no cause has been determined.

No injuries were reported.
