No students were injured when a Greenville County School District bus was involved in an accident Friday morning.

A district spokesman says the bus was hit by a car on Poinsett Highway at Ellendale Drive around 10 a.m. The SC Highway Patrol have charged 51-year-old Sharmaine Moore of Greenwood with driving too fast for conditions. Troopers say Moore came up behind two cars and attempted to stop, but hit a curb which bounced the car into the bus.

Eight students were on the bus at the time of the accident according to spokesman Oby Lyles. They, nor any of the drivers involved, were hurt.

Greenville County schools were opening two hours late Friday morning over concerns of ice on some route following Tuesday's winter storm.
