2 Arrested In Laurens Co. Haven Dale Drive Killings

LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. -
Two men from Cross Hill have been charged with murder in the deaths of two people found in a mobile home last Friday.

Deshanndon Markelle Franks, 26, and Tevin Oneil Hill, 22, have been charged with the murders of 47-year-old Sammie Dyron Leake and his niece, 24 year old Nikesha Travarea James.

Their bodies were found at their home at 42 Haven Dale Drive. Leake had been shot twice and James shot once according to the autopsy. 
Franks has also been charged with possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Franks and Hill are being held at the Laurens County Detention Center. Their bonds were denied in a hearing. Investigators say both suspects knew the victims.  The details of their relationship have not been released.

Investigators says that the two men are also being charged in an attempted robbery outside a business in Cross Hill on Jan. 28.
