SPARTANBURG, S.C -

Spartanburg Animal Services helped free a cat that was found stuck in a truck.

Major Steve Lamb says a man from Jonesville stopped in the Spartanburg area Thursday and called them to say he heard a sound coming from the truck.

They took the truck to the maintenance garage and discovered the sound was a cat that was somehow stuck..

The Animal Services team took about an hour to remove parts of the truck to get the cat, nicknamed "Little Houdini," out.

SAS says the cat lodged himself in a small cubbyhole inside the truck's engine compartment.

Lamb says the cat belongs to the man's neighbor in Jonesville.

The cat is fine and will be reunited with his owner soon.
