GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly wreck that happened on Interstate 385 Friday night near mile marker 35 (Woodruff Road). Two cars collided just before midnight.

According to Highway Patrol a 2004 Nissan was headed southbound when the driver made an improper lane change. Troopers say the Nissan over-corrected after hitting a 2006 Ford also traveling southbound.

Troopers tell 7 On Your Side the driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seat belt. She was thrown from her car and pronounced dead at the scene.

The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified the driver as 22 year old Lauren Nicole Kohlmorgen.

The driver of the Ford was not injured.
