U.S. Valve In Oconee Co. Brings Over 100 Jobs In Expansion

OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. -

An expansion at U.S. Engine Valve in Oconee County is expected to bring at least 125 new jobs to Westminster. The company is an automotive supplier of high-engineered valves.

U.S. Engine Valve is a joint venture between Nittan Valve Co., Ltd. and Eaton Vehicle Group. This organization supplies high-engineered valves that help increase fuel economy and improve vehicle efficiency and performance. The company says this expansion will bring on a new line of equipment to serve customers in North America.

Joel Thrift, chairman of the Oconee County Council said, "It's exciting to see this global company expand their footprint in Oconee County. This demonstrates to the world we have the labor force, a positive business climate and an excellent partnership with our technical school to satisfy the needs of industry.”

The project is a $29.5 million investment.
