SPARTANBURG, S.C - Many shelters have been set up across the Upstate and western North Carolina in anticipation of power loss.

Anderson
They are opening up 2 shelters around noon anticipating power outages. They will be at Trinity Baptist in Williamston and at Anderson Civic Center. They'll also pick up stranded motorists and take them to shelters.

Spartanburg
Anyone who needs a ride to a the emergency shelter at Restoration Church can get a free one from Ambustar.

Woodruff community Center- district 4 Spartanburg county is opening up as a cold shelter for those who need a place to stay. They will have sleeping arrangements and soup.  The number to the center is 864-476-2256 the address is 116 South Main street Woodruff, SC 29388. 


Columbus, NC 
Polk County American Red Cross has advised they have opened their shelter at 231 Ward St. Columbus, NC. 

Henderson, NC
Two emergency shelters are on standby.

Marion, NC
American Red Cross of the Western Carolinas is opening an emergency shelter in McDowell County, NC, to serve motorists experiencing difficulties with driving conditions on Interstate 40. The shelter location is the First Baptist Church of Old Fort, 203 S. Main Street, Marion, NC. The shelter will open at 10:00 tonight.
