Ricardo Glenn and Torrey Craig combined for 38 points and USC Upstate held Stetson to a season-low 48 points en route to a 66-48 victory Monday evening from the Hodge Center.

Craig finished with 20 points, four rebounds and three steals to post his 38th career game with at least 20 points. Glenn tallied 18 points and eight rebounds to help the Spartans hold a 41-33 edge in rebounding.

Leading by only three points at halftime, USC Upstate used a 13-4 run to open the second half to build a 40-28 lead just over three minutes in. A dunk by Willie Green pulled Stetson to within nine points midway through the half, but Upstate used back-to-back baskets from Michael Buchanan and Fred Miller to push the lead out to 13 points.

USC Upstate (16-12, 9-6) would go on to lead by as many as 20 points on its way to moving back into third place in the league standings.

Stetson and USC Upstate went back-and-forth over the first six minutes of the game. A layup from Karim Mawuenyega put the Spartans ahead 18-11 midway through the half, but Stetson used a 12-4 run thereafter to go ahead 23-22 on a jumper by Kyle Sikora with just under six minutes remaining.

The Spartans made one basket, hit three free throws and held Stetson to 0-for-5 shooting over the final 5:53 to regain the lead and hold a 27-24 edge at halftime.

Upstate returns to action Thursday at 7:30 p.m. when the Spartans travel to Jacksonville, Fla., to take on North Florida from the UNF Arena.
