Entrepreneurs gathered in Spartanburg for Startup Weekend. People with business ideas got some advice on launching their own company.

Sunday was the pitch night at HUB-BUB. It was a chance for them to pitch their ideas and to get some feedback.

City Council member Cate Ryba hope events like this help encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in Spartanburg.

"I hope that one of these business if not 2 or 3 or 4 of these businesses end up locating in downtown Spartanburg in supporting our economy and helping us all buy local and really contribute to the ecosystem of entrepreneurship in Spartanburg.

The Iron Yard, The Space at Wofford College and the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce helped organize the event.
