MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -

A Myrtle Beach resort gift shop robber used a feminine pad to cover up a surveillance camera while he grabbed money from the place, police said.

The incident happened on Feb. 19 just after 1 am at Ocean Reef Hotel at 7100 N Ocean Blvd when a man a camera caught a man entering the resort's gift shop and looking around.

The man then left the store briefly and went and got a chair, police said. The man then "stands up on it placing a pad (feminine pad it appears) on the surveillance camera so that his acts can't be seen," police said.

About an 1 hour and 10 minutes later, he was seen on camera "taking the pad off the camera and once again, looking around in the store."

The store was then missing about $125 from the cash register, however placement of the pad made sure "the act was not caught on video," police said.

Police are looking for a white man, aged 22 to 39, between 5-foot 7 inches and 5-foot 10 inches tall, weighing between 150-190 pounds.

The incident was reported to police on Wednesday.
