A Rutherford County man is charged with attempted murder after deputies say he poured gasoline on a man and threatened to set him on fire.

Lane and another man got into an argument according to the victim at a home they share on Hudlow Road. Lane doused the other man with gasoline and struck him in the head with a wooden stick that was on fire.
The victim then tried to get in a truck and go to a hospital, but deputies say Lane threatened to set the truck on fire with a Molotov Cocktail.
