A rematch of last season's Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball Championship Semifinal, Mercer and USC Upstate meet for the sixth time in the past two seasons on Thursday, March 6th at 8:30 p.m. on CSS.
The Bears defeated Jacksonville in the A-Sun Championship Quarterfinals, 85-64, led by 29 points from Anthony White Jr. and 10 assists by Atlantic Sun Player of the Year, Langston Hall. Mercer has appeared in the last four semifinals and owns a 2-2 mark in those games. Last season, the Bears reached the finals with a 72-64 win vs. USC Upstate.
The Spartans landed in the semifinals with a 80-74 win vs. North Florida in the Hodge Center on Tuesday as Second Team All-Conference member, Ricardo Glenn nearly tallied his 12th double-double of the season with 22 points and nine rebounds. USC Upstate is vying for its first berth in the A-Sun Championship Final as the Spartans enter Macon as the No. 3 seed. Upstate joins Mercer as one of three A-Sun teams with three 1,000 career point scorers on its roster.
