Escaped Pickens County Inmate Recaptured

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office reports an inmate who walked away from a work detail assignment Monday morning was recaptured.

Kyle William Howes, 35, had been detained at the Pickens County Stockade since March 7. He left a roadside litter cleaning crew on Old Stagecoach Road around 9:30 a.m.

Howes was wearing and orange colored shirt and blue jeans with a white stripe when he left on foot.

Howes is serving a 90 day sentenced for possession of drug paraphernalia, false information to police and false identification in a case from Easley. 

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office reported Howes was recaptured as of 11:31 a.m.
