SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -

A bus driver is charged after a wreck on Cannons Campground Road in Spartanburg County Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers say Shannon White stopped the bus after missing a student’s drop-off and started to back up. That’s when officials say she ran into a car.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Ten students were on the bus at the time. None of them were injured.

Spartanburg School District 3 officials say parents were notified and students were moved to a replacement bus.

White was charged with improper backing.
